The Learning Commons project, better known as the Co-Lab, is an interior renovation of a series of spaces on the first floor of the Founder’s Hall. This project created an Upper School community life hub that includes areas dedicated to independent or group study, relaxation, and connection. The improvements support Packer’s strategic goal of creating opportunities for students to learn and engage with each other across the school, inside and outside of the classroom, in ways that support excellent education and enhance student wellness and balance.
The project, approximately 1,500SF involved selective demolition and reconfiguration of existing spaces near the main building lobby. This is a high-traffic area that required a high level of protection and coordination to ensure safety as the School maintained operation over the summer months.
