The Stephen Gaynor School, an elementary and middle school facility for children with educational difficulties, now features an expanded first-floor entrance area, a brand-new sixth floor, and a rooftop add-on. The entrance includes a reception area and ADA-compliant elevator service for increased accessibility, while the rooftop boasts an outdoor athletic field and exercise facilities.

The school, which has a heightened need for easy accessibility and navigation, has been redesigned to accommodate its students in this way. The elevator and stairs have been extended to reach the top levels, and all existing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC services have been upgraded and relocated without having to displace or disrupt students’ learning.
