Foot Locker’s Washington Heights location, also dubbed the “Power Store,” more than triples the store’s former footprint after an extensive renovation and interior fit-out.
First, we conducted major structural and mechanical upgrades to the building’s original masonry, dating all the way back to 1920. That involved installing a three-stop elevator, new HVAC units, and a new roof while removing the existing skylight. We then began extensive interior renovations and systems upgrades, including coordinating utilities like gas and electric.
From an aesthetic perspective, the 25,000-square-foot retail location now features a sprawling storefront mural which pays homage to the area’s history and artistic landscape.
